Simplest Argument Against Election Fraud Claims
The justice system is by no means perfect, but insofar as it is prejudicial to individuals, Trump is last on that list. No other plaintiff has the resources, dedication, and particular position of being in charge of nominating the same judges that hear the merits of his case (e.g. Stephanos Bibas). Trump has been on a fundraising bonanza, raising $207 million dollars since election. There is no shortage of competent attorneys on his side (see for example, his impeachment defense team) and plenty not on his side who would still absolutely jump at the chance for being remembered as the ones who uncovered the greatest election fraud scheme in the history of the world (this would include myself).
There has been an avalanche of litigation over the last month and it has been uniformly embarrassing, to the point where I contemplated if some efforts (most notably Sidney Powell's "kraken") are false flag operations intended to discredit the rest. Plenty of judges have been accommodating in granting expedited briefing and deposition schedule, and nothing salient has come up. The Trump legal team, through Giuliani and Powell, have doubled-down on their claims by invoking China, Iran, and Hugo Chavez as being complicit in massive widespread fraud. This strikes me as desperate flailing more than anything else.
This election, by far, has been the most scrutinized election ever, and therefore also the most transparent. No other election comes close in terms of how much attention the specific procedures and minutiae have garnered. Every single piece of odd footage gets widely disseminated for anyone to scrutinize it with a magnifying glass. Despite all this time and effort, nothing has survived judicial scrutiny.
It's certainly possible that a massive widespread fraud has occured, but I have no reason to actually believe this based on the lack of evidence (just like I don't believe there is a teacup orbiting the earth). This is especially so when the genesis of this entire incident was Trump thinking out loud on Nov 3rd about how suspicious it was that he lost the election. I also have no reason that the litigation has failed because the judicial system is uniformly compromised against Trump's interest. That explanation generates infinitely more questions than it answers. Further, the fact that Trump's own legal team is crafting increasingly elaborate explanations for the fraud belies their credibility. The far simpler explanation is that Trump lost fairly, but he either can't accept it and so his aides are humoring him, or he's just lying.
